If you are driving from the main towns in Elephant Coast such as St. Lucia or Hluhluwe, take the N2 highway south. Continue on the N2 for approximately 40-50 kilometers until you reach the R66 turnoff towards Pongola. Follow the R66 for about 40 kilometers until you reach the town of Pongola. From Pongola, follow the signs to Jozini Lake and the Pongola Game Reserve. The reserve is located just outside of Pongola town, approximately 20 kilometers away. Look for the entrance sign to the reserve on your left.

To reach Pongola Game Reserve via public transportation, you can take a bus from major towns such as St. Lucia or Hluhluwe to Pongola. The bus departs regularly, but it's best to check the latest schedule.
