Car
If you are driving from the Royal Natal National Park, head west on the R74 towards the town of Bergville. Continue on the R74 for approximately 35 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for the R616. Take the R616 towards the town of Winterton. After about 20 kilometers, you will turn left onto the R600. Follow the R600 for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the trailhead for the Namahadi Summit hike. Ensure that your vehicle is in good condition, as you will be traveling on gravel roads.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options are limited around Royal Natal National Park. However, you can take a taxi or shuttle service from the park to Bergville. From Bergville, you can catch a local taxi to Winterton. Once in Winterton, you may need to arrange a private taxi to take you to the trailhead for the Namahadi Summit hike. Make sure to confirm the costs with the driver beforehand, as they can vary. Always plan your return trip in advance since public transport schedules may not align with your hiking plans.
Hiking
Once you have reached the parking area near the trailhead, prepare for the hike to the Namahadi Summit.
