    From your location in Sani Pass, head south on the Sani Pass road (R617). Continue along the winding road, enjoying the scenic views as you descend. After approximately 15 kilometers, you will cross into Lesotho. Ensure you have your passport ready for border control. Once in Lesotho, continue on the M6 road. After about 5 kilometers, you will see a sign indicating the direction to Mateanong. Follow this sign and drive for another 3 kilometers until you reach Mateanong (coordinates: -29.3174833, 29.2049086). Parking is available near the attraction.

    To reach Mateanong via public transport from Sani Pass, you will first need to take a taxi or shuttle service to the border post. These services are commonly available in the area. After crossing into Lesotho (make sure to have your passport), look for a local taxi or shuttle heading towards Mokhotlong. Inform the driver of your destination, Mateanong. The ride should take about 30 minutes, and the cost will typically range between R30 to R50. Once you arrive in Mokhotlong, you can take a local taxi or walk the remaining distance to Mateanong, which is approximately 2 kilometers from the main road.
