Getting There

Car
From Sani Pass, take the Sani Pass road (also known as the R56) eastward towards the Lesotho border. The road is steep and winding, so drive cautiously and be aware of possible traffic from other vehicles and hikers. After approximately 14 kilometers, you will reach the border post. Ensure you have your passport ready for border control. Upon crossing into Lesotho, continue on the same road, which becomes a gravel road. Continue for about 10 kilometers until you arrive at the village of Mokhotlong. From Mokhotlong, follow the signs towards Thabana-Ntlenyane, which is approximately 7 kilometers away. You may need to ask locals for directions, as the road can be unmarked. Note that a 4x4 vehicle is recommended for this terrain.
