Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Table Mountain National Park. You can enter the park at the main entrance located at the base of the mountain near the cableway station. Once inside, follow the signs to the Upper Cableway Station. Park your vehicle here (note that there may be a parking fee of approximately R10-R15). From the Upper Cableway Station, take the path leading to the Signal Hill trail. This trail will eventually lead you towards Joshua Penny's Cave, which is located a short hike away.

Public Transportation
To reach Table Mountain National Park via public transport, take a MyCiTi bus to the 'Table Mountain' stop. From here, you will need to walk to the cableway station located approximately 1 km away. Follow the signs towards the Upper Cableway Station. Once at the station, purchase a ticket for the cable car (approximately R360 for a round trip). After reaching the top, follow the path leading to the Signal Hill trail that takes you to Joshua Penny's Cave, which is a short hike from the cableway exit.

Hiking
If you're already in the park and prefer hiking, from the Lower Cableway Station, take the Platteklip Gorge trail. This is a well-marked trail that leads to the top of Table Mountain. Once at the top, continue along the plateau, following the signage towards Signal Hill. The hike to Joshua Penny's Cave will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace. Be sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry plenty of water.
