If you are driving from Asheville, NC, take I-40 West until you reach Exit 27 for US-74. Continue on US-74 to the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance. Merge onto the Blue Ridge Parkway and drive south towards Maggie Valley. Lickstone Overlook is located at Milepost 458.9, approximately 25 minutes from the Parkway entrance. Look for the overlook pull-off on your right. There are no fees for parking at the overlook.

Public transportation options are limited in this area. The closest public transit service is offered by the Haywood County Transit. You can take the bus to Maggie Valley and then use a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Blue Ridge Parkway. Once you arrive at the Parkway, you can drive or take another taxi to Lickstone Overlook, located at Milepost 458.9. Be sure to check the transit schedule ahead of time, as services may not be frequent.
