Getting There

    From the Congaree National Park Visitor Center, head northeast on Old Bluff Rd toward SC-48 E. Continue on SC-48 E for about 9 miles until you reach McCords Ferry Rd. Turn right onto McCords Ferry Rd, and continue for approximately 2 miles. The Bates Ferry Trailhead will be located on your left at 5590 McCords Ferry Rd, Eastover, SC 29044. There is no entrance fee for parking at the trailhead.

    If you are using public transportation, take a bus to the nearest major intersection near the park. From there, you will need to arrange for a rideshare service or taxi to reach Bates Ferry Trailhead, as public transport does not directly service the trailhead.
