Getting There

• Public Bus

  Start by locating the nearest bus stop in Myrtle Beach. If you're at the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, walk to 9th Avenue North and catch the Coast RTA bus (Route 15) heading south. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes, and disembark at the stop near the intersection of Highway 17 and 544. From there, transfer to Route 7, which will take you towards Socastee. Continue on Route 7 until you reach the stop closest to Pirate's Fork Lake, which is about a 15-minute walk from the stop.

• Bicycle

  If you're comfortable biking, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops along the Boardwalk. Head south on Ocean Boulevard and follow the signs for the Myrtle Beach State Park. Continue past the park and take a left onto Highway 17. You'll need to navigate a bit towards 544; be careful as this road can be busy. Once you reach the vicinity of Pirate's Fork Lake, look for local trails or paths leading directly to the lake.

  Assuming you are already in downtown Myrtle Beach, walk towards the nearest bus stop located on 9th Avenue North. Catch the public bus heading south to connect to Route 7. If you prefer walking, you can head south on Ocean Boulevard, but be prepared for a long walk as it's about 7 miles. Follow the coastal path until you reach the intersection with Highway 17, then proceed to navigate towards 544 where Pirate's Fork Lake is located.
