    From North Charleston, locate the closest bus stop for the CARTA (Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority). Take the 10 or 11 bus routes towards downtown Charleston. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the King St & Market St stop. From there, walk south on King Street for about 3 blocks until you reach 164 King St. The Charleston Library Society will be on your left.

    If you prefer biking, rent a bike from a local rental shop in North Charleston. Head south on East Montague Avenue until you reach the intersection with Rivers Avenue.
