    To reach Custer State Park from Badlands National Park, start by taking the Badlands Loop Road (SD-240) west out of the park. After approximately 30 miles, you will reach the junction with US-385. Turn left (south) onto US-385 and continue for about 20 miles. Look for the signage indicating Custer State Park; the entrance will be on your left. There is an entrance fee of $20 per vehicle, valid for 7 days.

    There is limited public transportation in the area. However, you can take a bus service from Rapid City to Custer. Once in Custer, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare to get to Custer State Park, which is about 15 minutes away (approximately 10 miles).
