    From the center of Custer, head southeast on Mt Rushmore Rd toward Custer County Courthouse. Continue straight onto US-16 E for about 5 miles. As you approach Hot Springs, keep an eye out for the signs directing you to US-18. Turn left onto US-18 N and follow the road for approximately 4 miles. Buffalo Gap National Grassland will be on your right at 1801 US-18.

    Starting in Custer, bike southeast on Mt Rushmore Rd (US-16) for about 5 miles. Be cautious as this road can be busy. After reaching Hot Springs, turn left onto US-18 N. Continue biking along US-18 N for about 4 miles, and you will find Buffalo Gap National Grassland on your right.
