Car
From Missouri River, head west on I-29 N toward Sioux City. After about 25 miles, take exit 75 for US-30 W toward Missouri Valley. Continue on US-30 W for approximately 8 miles until you reach the intersection with 316th Ln. Turn left onto 316th Ln. DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge will be on your left at 1434 316th Ln, Missouri Valley, IA 51555. There is no entrance fee for the refuge.

Take a local bus service from Missouri River to Omaha, NE. Once in Omaha, you can catch a Greyhound or a similar bus service to Missouri Valley, IA. From the bus stop in Missouri Valley, you will need to either walk (approximately 3 miles) or use a taxi/rideshare service to reach DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge at 1434 316th Ln, Missouri Valley, IA 51555. Be aware that taxi services may vary in availability, and it's advisable to pre-arrange a ride if possible.
