From any location in the Loess Hills, head toward I-680 N. Take the exit onto I-680 N toward Omaha. Continue on I-680 N for about 20 miles. Take exit 3B for US-75 N toward Council Bluffs. Continue on US-75 N for about 5 miles. Use the right 2 lanes to take exit 1B for I-480 W toward North Omaha. Continue onto I-480 W and take exit 2B toward US-6 W. Follow US-6 W for about 3 miles, then take the exit toward State St. Turn right onto State St. The Mormon Trail Center at Winter Quarters will be on your left at 3215 State St, Omaha, NE 68112.

If you are using public transportation, you will need to reach the nearest bus station. Depending on your location in Loess Hills, you can take a local bus to the Omaha Public Transit system. From any Loess Hills area, take a bus to the nearest Omaha bus stop where you can connect to route 2 or 11. Both routes will take you towards downtown Omaha. Once you reach downtown, transfer to the 55 bus route heading toward North Omaha. Get off at the stop closest to State St. From there, it is a short walk to the Mormon Trail Center at Winter Quarters, located at 3215 State St, Omaha, NE 68112.
