Walking
From the Mount Rushmore National Memorial visitor center, head east on SD-244 towards the junction with US-16. As you walk, enjoy the views of the memorial. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach the junction; turn right onto US-16. Continue walking on US-16 for approximately 3 miles until you reach the town of Keystone. Once in Keystone, look for Iron Mountain Road (SD-16A) on your left. Turn left onto Iron Mountain Road and walk approximately 1.5 miles. The Pig Tails bridge will be on your right side along this road.

Public Transport
From your location in Mount Rushmore, walk to the nearest bus stop for the Black Hills Gold Mine Tour shuttle service. Board the shuttle that heads towards Keystone. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the Keystone stop. Once in Keystone, walk along US-16 towards Iron Mountain Road (SD-16A), which is about a 10-minute walk. After turning left onto Iron Mountain Road, continue for about 1.5 miles until you reach The Pig Tails bridge, which will be on your right.
