Keep an eye out for Doane Robinson Tunnel, which is approximately 1.5 miles down the road on your right side. The tunnel is located along the scenic route, providing an excellent view of Mount Rushmore in the distance. There are usually places to stop and take photos, so feel free to pause along the way.

    If you prefer a more scenic route, after reaching US-16A, you can take a slight detour by walking along the hiking trails that branch off near the road.
