If you're traveling by car, start from West River, South Dakota. Head east on SD-34 E towards Sioux Falls. Continue on SD-34 E for approximately 40 miles. When you arrive in Sioux Falls, merge onto I-229 N. Take exit 6 for Cliff Ave. Turn right onto Cliff Ave and then left onto E 57th St. Continue on E 57th St for a mile until you reach S Louise Ave. The City Of East Sioux Falls Historical Marker will be located near the intersection of E 57th St and S Louise Ave. There is ample parking available right off the shoulder of the road.

If you prefer public transportation, take the Sioux Falls Transit service. Board the Route 9 bus from a nearby stop in West River heading towards Sioux Falls. The fare is typically around $1.50 per ride. Stay on the bus until you reach the 57th Street & Louise Avenue stop. From there, the historical marker is a short walk away.
