Car
If you're traveling by car from central Gwandong Region, start by heading towards the Gwandong Expressway (Gyeongin Expressway) and follow the signs for Seoul. Once on the expressway, continue for about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Take the exit towards Dongdaemun and merge onto Cheongnyangni-ro. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Cheongwadae-ro. Turn left onto Cheongwadae-ro, and Chimnyugak House will be on your right at 1 Cheongwadae-ro, Jongno District, Seoul. Parking may be available nearby, but check local signs for parking restrictions.
Public Transportation
To reach Chimnyugak House via public transportation, take the subway from any station in Gwandong Region to Seoul Station. From Seoul Station, transfer to Line 4 (the light blue line) towards Danggogae. Travel for 5 stops and get off at 'Myeongdong Station'. From there, take Exit 2 and walk towards the bus stop. Take Bus 1111 or 7016, which will take you directly to Cheongwadae-ro. Get off at the stop for Cheongwadae, and Chimnyugak House will be within walking distance. The bus fare is approximately 1,300 KRW, and the subway fare will vary based on the distance but typically ranges from 1,250 to 2,200 KRW.
