Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving, exit Seoraksan National Park through the main entrance. Head south on the 46 highway towards Sokcho. After roughly 15 kilometers, take the exit toward Misiryeong-ro. Continue for about 5 kilometers, and then turn left onto Misiryeong-ro. The National Mountain Museum will be on your right at 3054 Misiryeong-ro, Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do. There is parking available at the museum.

    To reach the National Mountain Museum via public transportation, first take a bus from the Seoraksan National Park entrance to Sokcho. Buses leave frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Sokcho, transfer to bus number 3 or 3-1, which will take you directly to the National Mountain Museum. The museum is located at 3054 Misiryeong-ro, Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do. The total cost for the bus ride is approximately 2,000 KRW.
