Getting There

• Subway

  To reach the Buddhism Central Museum, start by taking the Seoul Subway Line 1 (the blue line) or Line 4 (the light blue line). If you're taking Line 1, get off at 'City Hall Station' and transfer to Line 2 (the green line) towards 'Jamsil'. If you're on Line 4, get off at 'Myeongdong Station' and take exit 1. From City Hall Station, take exit 4 and walk straight until you reach the intersection. Turn right onto Ujeongguk-ro. The museum is located at 55 지하 Ujeongguk-ro, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from City Hall. If you started from Myeongdong Station, walk straight down to Ujeongguk-ro and turn left; the museum will be on your right.

• Bus

  If you prefer to take a bus, find a nearby bus stop and take bus number 7022 or 1001. Get off at 'Sejong Center for the Performing Arts' stop. From there, walk towards Ujeongguk-ro, and head left. Continue walking straight for about 5 minutes and you will see the Buddhism Central Museum on your left at 55 지하 Ujeongguk-ro.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, you can take a taxi. Simply tell the driver 'Buddhism Central Museum, 55 지하 Ujeongguk-ro, Jongno District.' Most drivers will understand the destination, but you might also show them the address written in Hangul. The taxi ride will be relatively quick depending on traffic, taking around 10-20 minutes from central locations in Seoul.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby, walking to the Buddhism Central Museum is a pleasant option. Head towards Ujeongguk-ro and walk straight. You will pass by various shops and cafes. Look for the sign for the museum; it’s located at 55 지하 Ujeongguk-ro. The area is pedestrian-friendly and great for exploring.
