Getting There

  • Subway

    If you are starting from Myeongdong Station, take Line 4 (the light blue line) towards Dongdaemun. Travel for 2 stops and get off at the City Hall Station. Leave the station through Exit 5. Once you are outside, walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Sejong-daero. The National Museum of Korean Contemporary History will be on your right at 198 Sejong-daero.

    From Insadong, walk to the nearest bus stop and take bus number 109, 150, or 601. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History stop. Once you get off, the museum will be right in front of you at 198 Sejong-daero.

    If you are near Gyeongbokgung Palace, it’s a pleasant 20-minute walk to the museum. Exit the palace and head towards the main road. Turn left on Sejong-daero and walk straight for about 1.5 km. You will see the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History on your left at 198 Sejong-daero.
