From Seoul Station, take Line 1 (the light blue line) towards Suwon. After about 1 hour of travel, get off at Suwon Station. Once you exit the station, head to the main road and look for signs directing you to the bus terminal. From the bus terminal, take bus number 13 or 15, which will take you to the Suwon Fortress Hwaseong. The fortress is about a 15-minute ride from the bus stop.

If you are starting from Myeongdong, walk to Myeongdong Station and take Line 4 (the light green line) to Dongdaemun Station. Transfer to Line 1 (the light blue line) towards Suwon. After approximately 1 hour, get off at Suwon Station. From there, find the local bus terminal and take bus number 13 or 15, which will take you to Suwon Fortress Hwaseong. The bus ride will be around 15 minutes.

If you are near the Hongdae area, go to Hongik University Station and take Line 2 (the green line) to City Hall Station. Transfer to Line 1 (the light blue line) and head towards Suwon. Get off at Suwon Station after about 1 hour. From Suwon Station, proceed to the bus terminal and board bus number 13 or 15 for a quick 15-minute ride to Suwon Fortress Hwaseong.
