Breathtaking Views at Itaewon Bugundang Historical Park Observatory

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Itaewon Station (Line 6), take Exit 1. Once you exit, turn right and walk straight along the main road (Itaewon-ro) until you reach the first major intersection. Cross the street at the crosswalk, and continue walking until you see the sign for Noksapyeong-daero. Turn left onto Noksapyeong-daero and walk for about 10 minutes, enjoying the local shops and cafes along the way. As you walk, keep an eye on the street numbers; the observatory will be on your right at Noksapyeong-daero 40da-gil.

• Public Bus

  From Itaewon Station, walk to the nearest bus stop at Itaewon Station (Line 6). Board bus number 740 or 421, which will take you closer to Noksapyeong-daero. Get off at the 'Noksapyeong' bus stop. After disembarking, walk along Noksapyeong-daero in the direction of the observatory, which is about a 5-minute walk away. The observatory will be located along Noksapyeong-daero 40da-gil on your right. Note that the bus fare is approximately 1,250 KRW (around $1) if you use a T-money card.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hail a taxi from anywhere in Itaewon. Simply tell the driver, 'Itaewon Bugundang Historical Park Observatory' or show them the address: 'Noksapyeong-daero 40da-gil, Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu'. The fare should be around 5,000 to 7,000 KRW (approximately $4 to $6), depending on traffic conditions. The taxi will drop you off close to the observatory entrance, making it convenient.
