Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the heart of Myeong-dong, simply walk towards the main shopping street. Head towards the Myeong-dong Cathedral, which is a prominent landmark. From the cathedral, continue straight until you reach the intersection. Cross the street and you will see various shops and restaurants. Follow the signs for the subway station, which is located nearby.

    If you are further away in Myeong-dong and wish to take the subway, locate the Myeong-dong Station (Line 4). Enter the station and purchase a single journey ticket or use a T-money card (cost is approximately 1,250 KRW). Take the subway towards Dongdaemun History & Culture Park. Alight at the next stop, and you will find yourself at the heart of Myeong-dong. Exit the station using Exit 6, and you will be right in the main area.

  • Public Bus

    If you prefer taking a bus, look for bus stops in Myeong-dong. Routes 104 and 150 run through the area. You can board any of these buses, and they cost around 1,200 KRW when paying with cash or T-money card. The bus will take you through various parts of the city, and you can get off at the Myeong-dong stop. From there, follow the signs to the shopping area and tourist attractions.
