Getting There

  • Subway

    Take Line 1 (the dark blue line) at any station in Seoul. If you're starting from Seoul Station, board the train heading towards Suwon. After approximately 45 minutes, get off at Suwon Station. From Suwon Station, exit the station and walk straight for about 10 minutes to reach Janganmun Gate. You will pass by the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, which is a lovely route.

    From your location in Seoul, find a nearby bus stop and take a bus that goes directly to Suwon. You can use the T-Money card for convenience. After arriving at Suwon, get off at the Suwon Intercity Bus Terminal. From there, you can either walk (about 20 minutes) or take a local bus towards Janganmun Gate, which is well-marked in the area.
