Walking
Start at the central plaza in Alicante, Plaza del Ayuntamiento. From the plaza, head south on Calle de San Francisco towards the beach. Continue straight until you reach the Esplanade of Spain (Explanada de España), a beautiful palm-lined promenade. Walk along the Explanada until you reach the end, where you'll see the marina. At the marina, turn left onto Avenida de la Estación and walk until you reach the foot of Mount Benacantil. There is a clearly marked path that leads up to the summit starting from the base.

Public Transport - Tram
From the city center, head to the nearest tram station, which is Luceros. Take Line 1 (L1) towards Sant Vicent del Raspeig. Get off at the stop called 'Mercado'. From the Mercado stop, walk towards the Avenida de Alfonso X el Sabio and then turn right onto Calle de la Reina. Continue straight until you reach the base of Mount Benacantil. Follow the marked trail that leads to the top.
