If you are starting from the Alicante city center (Plaza de los Luceros), head east towards Avenida de Federico Soto. Continue straight until you reach the Esplanade of Spain (Explanada de España), a beautiful promenade lined with palm trees. Walk along the Esplanade until you reach the end where you will see the marina. From the marina, turn left onto Calle de la Virgen del Socorro and walk until you reach Plaza de Santa María. The Basilica of St Mary is located at Plaza de Santa María, 1, 03001 Alicante.

From the main bus station (Estación de Autobuses de Alicante), take bus line C1 towards Playa de San Juan and get off at the stop 'Plaza de la Constitución.' From there, walk approximately 5 minutes to Plaza de Santa María. Head east on Calle de la Constitución, then turn right onto Calle de San Francisco. Continue until you reach Plaza de Santa María, where the Basilica of St Mary is located.
