From Bilbao, head to the Termibus bus station located at Avenida de Gasteiz, 1. You can reach there by taking the metro to San Mamés station or by walking from the city center. At Termibus, purchase a ticket for a bus to Bermeo. The bus journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Make sure to check the schedule as buses may vary throughout the day.

Once you arrive in Bermeo, get off at the main bus station. From there, you can walk to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. Head towards the coast and follow the road signs. The walk is about 30-40 minutes. You will pass through beautiful landscapes, and as you approach, you will see the iconic island and the bridge leading to it.
