Car
If you are driving from the city of Girona, take the AP-7 motorway towards Figueres. After about 40 kilometers, take exit 3 towards Empuriabrava/Castelló d'Empúries (C-260). Continue on C-260 for approximately 8 kilometers. Follow the signs to Platja d'Empuriabrava, and you will arrive at the beach area in about 10 minutes. There are parking facilities available nearby, but please note that they may incur a fee depending on the season.

Public Transportation
From Girona, you can take a bus operated by Sarfa that goes directly to Empuriabrava. Buses leave from the Girona Estació d'Autobusos. The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Make sure to check the schedule ahead of time for the latest timings and fares, which typically range from €6 to €10. Once you arrive at the Empuriabrava bus station, it's about a 15-minute walk to Platja d'Empuriabrava. You can also opt for a taxi from the bus stop to the beach for a quicker arrival.

If you're starting from Barcelona, take a Renfe train from Barcelona Sants to Figueres Vilafant station. The train journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. From Figueres, you will need to transfer to a bus operated by Sarfa that goes to Empuriabrava. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Empuriabrava bus station, it’s a 15-minute walk to Platja d'Empuriabrava. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance to align with your train arrival.
