Walking
If you are already in La Latina, head towards the Plaza de la Paja. From the center of La Latina, you can walk to the plaza by taking Calle de la Cava Baja and walking straight. This street is vibrant and filled with local shops and tapas bars, so take your time to enjoy the atmosphere. Once you reach Plaza de la Paja, look for the Palacio de los Vargas, which is located at number 14. It’s a short walk and should take around 10 minutes.
Metro
If you are further away in La Latina, you can take the Metro to reach Palacio de los Vargas. Board the Line 5 (green line) at La Latina station and travel towards Casa de Campo. Get off at the next stop, which is ‘Puerta de Toledo’. From there, exit the station and walk towards Calle de Toledo. Continue straight until you reach Plaza de la Paja. The Palacio de los Vargas will be at number 14 on your left. The metro ride is usually around 2 minutes, but consider additional time for waiting and walking.
Bus
For those who prefer to take a bus, you can catch the Line 25 bus from La Latina. Board the bus from the nearest stop and travel towards ‘Plaza de la Paja’. Disembark at the stop closest to the plaza. Once you get off, walk towards Plaza de la Paja, where you will find the Palacio de los Vargas at number 14. The bus fare is approximately €1.50.
