If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the town of Potes, which is approximately 8 km away from Ermita de San Tirso. From Potes, head southwest on the N-621 road towards the village of Mogrovejo. After about 2 km, turn right onto CA-185 following the signs for 'Mogrovejo'. Continue on this road for about 5 km until you see signs for Ermita de San Tirso. You will arrive at the destination located at Poblado Ctra. Nueva, 11, 39570 Potes. There is free parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Ermita de San Tirso using public transport, you can take a bus from Potes to the nearby village of Mogrovejo. Buses typically run several times a day, and you can check the schedule at the local bus station or online. Once you arrive in Mogrovejo, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 km to reach Ermita de San Tirso. The walk will take you along scenic paths, and it’s advisable to wear comfortable shoes. Be aware that the bus fare is around €2-3 one way.
Walking
For those who enjoy hiking and are staying in Potes, you can walk to Ermita de San Tirso. The route is about 8 km and will take roughly 1.5 to 2 hours. Start from the center of Potes and follow the signs towards the N-621 road. Once you reach the CA-185 road, turn right and continue until you see the signs for the Ermita. The walk is relatively easy and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
