    If you are in the city center of Anuradhapura, start at the Anuradhapura Clock Tower. From the Clock Tower, head north on the Main Street (Sri Maha Bodhi Mawatha) until you reach the junction with the Mihintale Road. Turn left onto Mihintale Road and continue walking for approximately 4 kilometers. You will pass by several shops and local eateries along the way. After about 30 minutes, you will see the sign for Mihintale on your right. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at the Mihintale entrance.

  • Tuk-tuk

    From your location in Anuradhapura, find a nearby tuk-tuk stand or flag down a tuk-tuk on the street. Inform the driver that you want to go to Mihintale. The driver will take you along Mihintale Road, which is about 4 kilometers away. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the tuk-tuk can drop you off at the entrance of Mihintale.

  • Bicycle Rental

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Anuradhapura. After renting, head north on Sri Maha Bodhi Mawatha towards Mihintale Road. Turn left onto Mihintale Road and bike for approximately 4 kilometers. The route is mostly flat, making it a pleasant ride. You will see signs for Mihintale directing you to the entrance.
