From Arugam Bay, head east on the Main Street (A4) towards Pottuvil. Continue driving for approximately 5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs indicating 'Ureni Lagoon' or 'Paladi Lagoon'. Once you reach Pottuvil, you will see a right turn towards the lagoon area. Follow this road, which may become narrower, for about 2 kilometers until you arrive at Ureni or Paladi Lagoon. There are no entrance fees, but it's advisable to have some cash on hand for any local vendors or parking if needed.

Public Transportation
From Arugam Bay, take a local bus heading towards Pottuvil. Buses are frequent and usually cost around 40-50 LKR. Inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at Pottuvil. Once you arrive in Pottuvil, you can either take a tuk-tuk (around 150 LKR) or walk for about 2 kilometers towards the lagoon. The tuk-tuk drivers will be familiar with Ureni or Paladi Lagoon, so you can easily communicate your destination.

If you prefer a more private transportation option, you can hire a tuk-tuk directly from any point in Arugam Bay. Negotiate the fare upfront; it should cost around 500-700 LKR for a round trip to Ureni or Paladi Lagoon. The journey will take about 15-20 minutes. Make sure to agree on a pickup time with the driver for your return trip.
