Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Colombo city center, head southeast on Galle Road (A2) towards the Colombo Fort area. Continue on A2 until you reach the Colombo - Kandy Road (A1). Merge onto A1 and follow the signs for Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte. Once you reach Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, look for Parliament Drive, which will lead you directly to Parliament Ground. There is parking available nearby, but be prepared for a parking fee that may vary depending on the time of day.

  To reach Parliament Ground via public transportation, take a bus from Colombo Fort Bus Station heading towards Kotte or Maharagama. Look for buses that specifically mention Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte. After about 30-45 minutes, disembark at the 'Parliament' bus stop. From the bus stop, it is a short walk to Parliament Drive, where you will find the entrance to Parliament Ground. The bus fare is typically around 30-50 LKR.

  For a more convenient option, consider taking a taxi or using a ride-sharing app like PickMe or Uber. Simply input 'Parliament Ground, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte' as your destination. The ride from Colombo city center should take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic, and will cost around 600-1000 LKR. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

• Train (with Transfer)

  If you're near a train station, you can take a train from Colombo Fort to Kottawa Station. From Kottawa Station, you will need to take a taxi or a local bus to reach Parliament Ground. The train ride takes about 30 minutes, and the fare is typically around 50-100 LKR. After arriving at Kottawa Station, a taxi to Parliament Ground will cost approximately 500-700 LKR.
