Walking
From Ella town, start by heading south on Main Street (Ella-Ohiya Road). Continue walking for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Ella Rock Trail. Turn right at this intersection and follow the road. You will pass several shops and cafes along the way. Keep walking straight until you reach a small sign for 'Rawana View' on your right. The path may be a bit steep, but continue along this trail for another 10 minutes until you reach the viewpoint.

If you prefer a more adventurous route, consider trekking from Ella to Rawana View. Start at the Ella Railway Station and take the path towards the Ella Rock. After about 20 minutes of trekking, you will see signs directing you to Rawana View. Follow the marked trails, which will lead you through lush greenery and offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. This trek will take approximately 1 hour, depending on your pace. Be sure to bring water and wear comfortable shoes.

Although public transport options are limited for reaching Rawana View directly, you can take a local bus from the Ella bus station towards Wellawaya. Inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at Rawana Falls. Once you disembark, walk back along the road for about 15 minutes until you see the sign for Rawana View on your left. This option may take longer due to bus schedules and waiting times.
