From the center of Galle, follow the Galle-Matara Road (A2) and turn onto Hospital Street (locally known as 'Hospitaala Road') which leads directly to the Fort area. Once you reach the Fort, park in designated parking areas nearby. From there, walk to the Zwart Bastion, which is located near the south-east corner of the Fort. Look for signs pointing towards the bastion.

To reach Zwart Bastion via public transportation, take a local bus to Galle from various cities like Colombo or Matara. Upon arrival at the Galle bus station, you can either take a tuk-tuk or walk to Galle Fort. The walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes through the bustling streets of Galle. Once you arrive at Galle Fort, navigate to the south-eastern section of the Fort where Zwart Bastion is located.

If you are already within Galle Fort, you can easily reach Zwart Bastion by walking. From the main entrance of the Fort, head towards the Lighthouse and follow the path around the ramparts. The bastion is marked along the walking path, and you will enjoy scenic views of the ocean along the way. It should take about 10-15 minutes to reach the bastion.
