Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the Galle Fort area, start at the Galle Lighthouse, which is a prominent landmark. From the lighthouse, head south towards the main road, Lighthouse Street. Continue walking along Lighthouse Street until you reach the intersection with Church Street. Turn left onto Church Street and walk straight until you reach the end of the street. You will see the Galle Fort entrance ahead. Once inside the fort, continue to walk straight along the ramparts until you reach the intersection with Middle Street. Turn right on Middle Street, and you will find New Old Dutch House located at 21 Middle St, Galle 80000, on your left.

• Tuk-Tuk

  For a quicker option, you can take a tuk-tuk from anywhere within Galle. Simply tell the driver 'New Old Dutch House at 21 Middle Street, Galle Fort.' The drivers are familiar with the area and can take you directly there. The ride should not take more than 10 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, you will find the house close to other notable places in the fort.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Galle. Start at the Galle Fort ramparts and cycle along the path until you reach the intersection with Middle Street. Turn right onto Middle Street and continue cycling until you reach the New Old Dutch House at 21 Middle St. There are bike racks available nearby to park your bicycle safely.
