Walking
If you are in the center of Hikkaduwa, start by heading towards Galle Road (the main road running parallel to the beach). From the main bus station, walk towards the beach, then turn left onto Galle Road. Continue walking along Galle Road for approximately 1 kilometer. The Community Tsunami Education Center & Museum will be on your left at 539Q+88F, Galle Rd. Look for the large sign indicating the museum.

Tuk-tuk
From anywhere in Hikkaduwa, you can easily find a tuk-tuk. Simply flag one down or ask your hotel to arrange one for you. Tell the driver you want to go to the Community Tsunami Education Center on Galle Road. The ride will usually take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. Be sure to confirm the fare before getting in, and enjoy the scenic ride along the coast!

If you would like to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops along the beach area. Start from the beach, head to Galle Road, and turn left. Pedal along Galle Road for about 1 kilometer. The Community Tsunami Education Center & Museum will be on your left. There are usually bike racks available nearby.
