Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Hikkaduwa Beach, head south along the main road (Galle Road) towards Ahangama. After about 3 km, you will reach the junction with Handunugoda Road. Turn left onto Handunugoda Road. Continue straight for approximately 2 km, and you will see the Handunugoda Tea Estate on your left. The estate is well-signposted.

Tuk-Tuk
To reach the Handunugoda Tea Estate from Hikkaduwa, you can hire a tuk-tuk. Simply tell the driver to take you to Handunugoda Tea Estate in Ahangama. The ride should take around 15 minutes, depending on traffic. They will take you directly to the entrance.

Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from Hikkaduwa Beach and follow the Galle Road heading south. After about 3 km, turn left onto Handunugoda Road. Continue cycling for about 2 km until you see the Handunugoda Tea Estate on your left. Ensure to keep an eye out for oncoming traffic, especially on Galle Road.

Public Transport (Bus)
From Hikkaduwa, you can take a bus heading towards Galle. Board the bus at the main bus stop near the beach. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at the Handunugoda Tea Estate. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you get off, walk a short distance back along the road, and you will see the estate entrance.
