From the Hikkaduwa Beach area, head east on Galle Road (A2). Continue straight for about 6 kilometers. As you walk, you will pass by several shops and restaurants. Keep an eye out for local buses that may be heading towards Ahungalla. Once you reach the Ahungalla area, look for signs directing you to Kothduwa Temple. The temple is located on a small road off Galle Road, known locally as the Kothduwa Road. It is approximately a 10-15 minute walk from Galle Road once you turn onto Kothduwa Road.

From your location in Hikkaduwa, find a nearby tuk-tuk stand or flag down a tuk-tuk on the street. Tell the driver you want to go to Kothduwa Rajamaha Viharaya in Ahungalla. This is a popular destination, so the driver should be familiar with it. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey.
