Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Jaffna Fort, head east on Fort Road towards the A9 Kandy Road. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with A9. Turn left onto A9 Kandy Road and walk for approximately 1 kilometer. You will see the Gateway of Jaffna - Yazh Varavu on your right-hand side, marked by the unique architecture and signs.

    From the Jaffna Bus Station, hire a tuk-tuk. Tell the driver you want to go to the Gateway of Jaffna - Yazh Varavu, located on A9 Kandy Road. The ride will take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver should drop you off directly in front of the landmark.
