Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the central area of Jaffna, start by heading towards Chundikuli. From the Jaffna Public Library, walk straight along Library Road until you reach the junction with Jaffna – Point Pedro Road. Turn left and continue walking until you reach the next major intersection. At this point, you will see a sign for Valanpuram. Follow the signs and proceed straight for approximately 1 kilometer. You will notice the locals and shops along the way, which can serve as landmarks. Once you reach 985/20 Valanpuram, you will find your destination on the right side of the road.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Jaffna. Start from the Jaffna Fort and cycle down Hospital Road. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Jaffna – Point Pedro Road. Turn right and cycle towards Chundikuli. Keep an eye out for the Valanpuram sign and cycle straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and cafes on your left and right. When you see 985/20 Valanpuram, park your bicycle nearby and walk to your destination.

    From the Jaffna Bus Station, take any bus heading towards Chundikuli. The bus ride should take around 15 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Chundikuli bus stop, disembark and walk towards the main road. Look for signs or ask locals for directions to Valanpuram. Walk straight ahead for about 500 meters, and you will reach 985/20 Valanpuram on your right.
