Walking
If you are in the center of Jaffna, start at the Jaffna Fort. From the fort, head east on KKS Road towards the main intersection. At the intersection, turn left onto Navalar Road. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer. The Jaffna Archeological Museum will be on your right side, just past the junction with Hospital Road. Look for the sign indicating the museum.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Jaffna. Start at the Jaffna Library, and head south on KKS Road. After about 500 meters, turn left onto Navalar Road. Continue cycling for approximately 1 kilometer. The Jaffna Archeological Museum will be on your right side just after the intersection with Hospital Road. There are bicycle parking spaces available near the museum.
Tuk-Tuk
To reach the Jaffna Archeological Museum by tuk-tuk, find a tuk-tuk stand near Jaffna Fort or Jaffna Library. Tell the driver to take you to Navalar Road, specifically M29F+PQM. The ride should take about 10 minutes depending on traffic. The museum is located on your right, and you can ask the driver to drop you off right in front.
Public Transport
If you want to use public transport, look for a local bus heading towards Navalar Road. Board the bus at the Jaffna Bus Station. Inform the conductor you want to get off at the Jaffna Archeological Museum stop. Once you disembark, walk back a little towards the main road, and the museum should be visible on your right.
