If you are driving from Kandy city center, head southwest on Dalada Vidiya (Temple Road) towards the Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Tooth). Continue straight until you reach a junction. At this junction, turn right onto the Kandy - Mahiyangana Road (A26). Follow this road for about 1 kilometer. Look for signs indicating Udawatta Kele Sanctuary on your left.
