    From the city center in Kandy, find a Tuk-Tuk stand or hail one on the street. Tell the driver you want to go to Hakgala Botanical Garden (Hakgala Uda Walawe). The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. The driver will take you along the Peradeniya-Badulla-Chenkaladi Highway. Look for the entrance sign of Hakgala Botanical Garden on your left. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your ride.

    Head to the Kandy Bus Station located near the city center. Look for buses heading to Nuwara Eliya or Badulla. Make sure to ask the conductor if they stop at Hakgala. The bus ride will take about 40-60 minutes. Once you reach the Hakgala stop, get off and walk back a short distance to find the entrance to the Hakgala Botanical Garden on your right side.

    If you are near Peradeniya, you can walk to Hakgala Botanical Garden. Head towards the Peradeniya-Badulla-Chenkaladi Highway. Follow the road signs leading to Hakgala for about 4 kilometers.
