Getting There

Walking
From Kandy city center, head towards the Kandy Lake. Walk along the lake until you reach the Kandy Museum. From there, take the road leading towards the Temple of the Tooth. Continue straight on this road until you reach the junction with the main road (A26). Cross over to the other side and take a left onto the A26 towards Peradeniya. After approximately 1.5 km, you will see a sign for Hanthana Mountain on your right. Follow this road uphill for about 2 km until you reach the viewpoint.

Tuk-Tuk
Hail a tuk-tuk from any point in Kandy. Tell the driver you want to go to Hanthana Mountain View Point. The driver will take you along the A26 road towards Peradeniya. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the turning for Hanthana Mountain. The driver can take you directly to the viewpoint.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Kandy. Start from the city center and ride towards Kandy Lake, then take the road leading to the Temple of the Tooth. Continue straight until you reach the A26 road. Turn left onto A26 and follow it until you see the sign for Hanthana Mountain. This route is approximately 4-5 km and involves some uphill riding.
