Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Kandy City Center, exit the mall and head southwest towards the main road (A1). Turn left onto A1 and walk for about 300 meters until you reach a major intersection. At the intersection, you will see a large clock tower. Continue straight through the intersection onto Sangaraja Mawatha. The Kandyan Cultural Centre is located approximately 500 meters down this road on your right-hand side, just before the Kandy Lake.

    Find a nearby tuk-tuk stand or hail one from the street. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Kandyan Cultural Centre located at 72 Sangaraja Mawatha. The ride should take around 10 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will take you directly to the centre where you can enjoy the cultural performances.

  • Public Bus

    Locate the nearest bus stop that services routes towards Sangaraja Mawatha. Board the bus going in the direction of Kandy Lake or Sangaraja Mawatha. After approximately 15-20 minutes, get off at the stop nearest to Sangaraja Mawatha. From there, walk along the road for about 5 minutes until you reach the Kandyan Cultural Centre on your right.
