Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Kandy Lake, head towards the Temple of the Tooth, which is located on the northern edge of the lake. Once you reach the temple, continue walking past it. You will see Raja Veediya Street directly ahead. Turn left onto Raja Veediya Street and walk straight for about 300 meters. You will find the Old Royal Palace at number 15 on your right, just a short walk away from the temple.

    If you prefer a tuk-tuk, you can easily find one near Kandy Lake or the Temple of the Tooth. Simply tell the driver 'Old Royal Palace' or show them the address: '15 Raja Veediya'. The ride will take around 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. The tuk-tuk will drop you off right in front of the palace entrance.
