Getting There

    If you are in the center of Kandy, start from the Kandy Lake. Walk along the path that runs along the shores of the lake heading towards the Kandy Clock Tower, which is a well-known landmark. Once you reach the Clock Tower, continue walking straight on Dalada Veediya Street. You will see signs pointing towards Sri Dalada Maligawa. The temple is about a 15-minute walk from the lake, and you will pass by various shops and eateries along the way.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From your location in Kandy, find a nearby tuk-tuk stand or flag down a tuk-tuk on the street. Tell the driver you want to go to Sri Dalada Maligawa (you can also show them the name written down if needed). The ride should take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. The tuk-tuk will drop you off right in front of the temple entrance.

  • Bicycle
