From Kandy city center, head towards the Kandy Lake. Walk around the lake in a clockwise direction until you reach the main road (A1). Continue along A1 until you reach the Katukele area. The Pillaiyar Kovil will be on your left side, just off the main road. Look for the distinctive architecture of the temple.

If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a tuk-tuk from the Kandy city center. Tell the driver you want to go to 'Pillaiyar Kovil in Katukele.' The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. You will be dropped off right outside the temple.

You can catch a bus from Kandy to Katukele. Head to the Kandy bus station and look for buses heading towards Katukele. Once on the bus, stay on until you reach the stop closest to A1. From there, walk towards the main road and the Pillaiyar Kovil will be a short walk away.
