Walking
If you are starting from Kandy Lake, head towards the north exit of the lake and continue straight onto Raja Veediya. Walk along Raja Veediya for approximately 15 minutes. The Old Royal Palace will be located on your left at 15 Raja Veediya, Kandy 20000. Look for the entrance which is marked with signs indicating the palace and museum.
Tuk-Tuk
You can easily find a Tuk-Tuk around Kandy Lake or in the city center. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Old Royal Palace located at 15 Raja Veediya. The journey should take about 5-10 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off right at the entrance of the palace.
Public Bus
If you prefer to take public transport, look for a bus heading towards the Kandy city center. Get off at the Kandy Clock Tower stop. From there, walk down towards Raja Veediya. The Old Royal Palace is approximately a 10-minute walk from the clock tower. Follow Raja Veediya until you see the palace on your left.
